A bend in a ripple in time
Tonight the goose drank wine
Such a mess of a pond beneath the stratosphere
Spinning which ways from the drain
It's alarming your voice
From behind the canopy
Clearly I've gone insane

I'm a fractured globe
Kind of like a dew drop
Splintering the undertow
Tawny is my lung

I like silver in my drink
I commend the eagle
For him it's not a thing
At first it was my wrestling that lashed me out in spurts
Now it's just a timid voice so often goes unheard

Tell me I'm a complete soul
Oh no you said 'ass hole'
Chip away with one hand
Whilst scooping with the other
Traditionally I'm found, rearranging sand
Bathing in oceans of light
It's a heavy thing, the weight of existing
But I can't be sure if we're not pulling on each other

If the news forgets then sweet, bless
Your family are there to remind you that you suffer
It's a cosmic thing, kind of like a web
Held up on tenderhooks suspended from our heads
Like a washing line
But the clothes are emblematic
And the sweet smell goes unnoticed
For the wind between the threads
